HOW MUCH SPACE DO YOU NEED?
All we require is a hall or similar space with at least 2 power sockets. Our set will take up 5-6 metres in depth and the full width of this area.
Our teams are very experienced at setting up in halls with a huge variety of shapes & sizes, and will liaise with your staff on arrival as to the best and safest place to set up, working around lunches & other activities where necessary.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SET UP?
Our set up consists of unpacking the van of all the equipment into your hall, building the sets and performing a stringent sound check to match the levels to your venue in line with strict Health & Safety standards. This takes the team approximately 45 minutes to an hour depending on your access /space.
HOW LONG ARE YOUR SHOWS?
Our Classic Literature Adaptations are 60 minutes, with an additional 30 minutes for the Stagecraft Workshop. Pantomime Productions are 60-65 minutes, sometimes slightly longer due to audience reaction! Our teams have the ability to adjust times marginally to fit into your school day if required.
WHICH AGE RANGE ARE YOUR SHOWS MOST SUITABLE FOR?
All of our shows and Teacher Resource Packs are written and adapted specifically for the whole primary school age range. Our productions contain no innuendo or inappropriate language /gestures. Our Pantomimes are fun for the whole family and are frequently enjoyed by venues such as hotels, care homes and community theatres as well as schools.
Many schools choose to include their Nursery Department in productions, space permitting. We suggest seating these youngest children on benches around the edges or back of the hall, to allow them feel slightly less exposed to the performance area.
Our Classic Literature Stagecraft Workshop is targeted at Year 6/Primary 7 pupils, giving them to opportunity to remain behind after the performance, to learn more about how the show is put together.
ARE YOUR PERFORMANCES SUITED TO CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS?
We are proud to announce that we are the single largest supplier of in house theatre to children with special educational needs. Our teams are highly experienced in adapting and relaxing productions to suit the needs of the audience where requested, with all our Pantomimes featuring a Makaton section as standard. Our sets and costumes are bright and interactive and we are currently the company of choice for Happy Days Children’s Charity when supplying live theatre to SEN schools.
ARE YOUR STAFF DBS CHECKED?
All of our staff carry up to date Disclosure Certificates and photographic ID. Please see our Safeguarding Policy for more details regarding this. We hold full public liability & employers insurance, each to the value of £10 million. Equipment is PAT tested annually and all teams complete a Health & Safety checklist before every performance.
