As the UK’s largest provider of top quality theatre-in-education, we are constantly on the lookout for engaging, talented and enthusiastic performers to bring the magic of theatre to venues everywhere.
With various seasons throughout the year, and many different contract lengths and roles on offer, we are always in the process of recruitment. If you are an actor, performer, entertainer, coat or holiday rep looking for your next challenge, we want to hear from you!
Our Touring Teams consist of super talented, hardworking, motivated individuals buzzing with energy and enthusiasm.
With 25 years experience in our field, we perform annually to over 6,500 venues in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. We pride ourselves on bringing an exhilarating theatrical experience to any venue, anywhere.
We call it the magic of theatre.
If you have a good level of fitness, a basic singing ability, good movement skills and a positive outlook then we would love to hear from you. Touring can be the most rewarding experience ever, but you must be prepared for long days, being away from home for extended periods and the rigours of lifting and carrying during get ins and get outs.
From princes to woodcutters, our principal boys are energetic, fun and have a great singing voice to help bring our pantomimes into the modern era! Whether they are fighting the bad guy, rescuing the princess or getting the audience involved, they need to have winning smiles and be able to bring the audience along for their adventures!
Our principal girls are always ready to stand up for the little guy, and to drive the story onward through song, dance and a smile! From the most beautiful princess in the kingdom, to the lowliest servant, they are the driving force behind many of our pantomimes, and always need to be ready to brighten anyone’s day!
Villains, sidekicks and dames step forward! Combining great physical comedy skills and razor-sharp timing, our character males will have audiences booing, cheering and rolling in the aisles! Whether on the deck of their pirate ship or fighting alongside the handsome prince, they always know exactly what to say to get the biggest laughs in the show!
From fairy godmothers to dastardly pirates, evil witches to villainous queens, our character females need to be able to hold the audience in the palm of their hand as they deliver witty retorts, pithy put-downs and magical spells. Poisoning princesses, turning frogs into princes and bringing magic to life is all in a day’s work for these larger-than-life characters.

“If you are thinking about joining M&M, I would say be ready to work hard, as we are not only actors; we are also roadies, techies, and we do all the backstage stuff as well as deliver workshops…. So be ready to work hard…. But be ready to have fun!”
“Just like many other members of M&M Theatrical Productions, I joined the company with the intention of only doing one pantomime tour; it has been almost three years since my first show of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ and I am a Tour Manager and on show number six! M&M is no longer a company I just work for but it is very much my family and I hope to continue my progression for many years to come.”
“What I have loved the most about being an actor for M&M are the opportunities I’ve had to play beloved and recognised characters who I personally loved as a kid; such as Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast and the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. Equally so, it’s truly fantastic to see the looks of amazement and joy on the children’s faces as we bring these characters to life right before their very eyes!”
“This is my first tour with M&M and so far it has been fantastic. Getting to perform all over the country is very exciting and an incredibly rewarding experience”.
“I’m currently on my second tour. I really love M&M, they are committed to ensuring they bring a theatre quality show into schools. They give you all the training and support to be able to do that, plus all the tools, costume, sets and props. It’s been a great experience so far. I can see myself working for them for a long time, and I would definitely encourage you too!”
“Working with the company had allowed me to grow as both a performer and a person. I’ve learned an array of new skills which will hopefully allow me to progress further in the company. I have my sights on the position of Tour Manager where I can grow my skills more and apply them in future tours.”
“I love the reaction you get from not only the kids, but the teachers as well. It’s great to see the teachers joining in & singing along!”
“This is my first tour with M&M and so far I am loving the whole experience! There was no better feeling than when we got to our first school, first day of tour, and seeing all the kids react so amazingly to all our hard work! Bring on the rest of the tour!!”
“At the end of my second tour I was promoted to Tour Manager. I love being part of this company, it’s great. You get to meet hundreds of kids, it’s brilliant being able to inspire them and see their imagination grow. I just love it.”
“My audition for M&M was the most relaxed and enjoyable audition I’ve ever had. The managers were so friendly and enthusiastic about the company that it instantly made me want to be a part of it! Now I see why they love it so much – it really is a fantastic company to work for!”
“This is now my second tour with M&M and what an experience it’s been so far!!! Seeing the smiles we put on the children’s faces and the laughs they have during our shows makes this job the best ever!! I’m running around as a big pig for a living, I can’t complain really!!!”
“I’m glad that I work for M&M Theatrical Productions. Really good company to work for and they have allowed me to climb the career ladder to Tour Manager even though I was only 19 at the time. They judge you on ability, not just experience.”
“I have worked at M&M for over 5 years in eight shows. It’s like family here, everyone is so supportive and so encouraging. There’s not many theatrical jobs which give you the option to progress to Tour Manager and still perform. I love my job as I get to dress up and entertain people on a daily basis for a great company that I am proud to work for.”
“This is my first tour with the company and I was made to feel like part of the family straight away. I love getting to perform to the kids every single day and see them getting excited about theatre.”
